Cash rewards for accused in Clementown house demolition case
Dehradun, April 17 After failing to apprehend three main accused in the high profile house demolition case in Clementown area of Dehradun, Uttarakhand police has now announced cash rewards on three main accused persons allegedly involved in the case. The land mafia gang in alleged connivance with the local police had demolished the house of a deceased naval officer when his wife and daughter were away from their home on January 12, 2022. The wife of the deceased naval officer was informed by her neighbor that her house was being demolished with bull dozers. The mother and daughter after rushing back to Dehradun went to police but didn’t get any help. It was after the intervention of DGP Ashok Kumar that a case was registered against the accused. The Clementown police station incharge was removed and seven persons were arrested. However, the three main accused continue to evade arrest. The Uttarakhand police constituted a Special Investigative Team (SIT) headed by DIG Karan Singh Nangyal in the case. DIG Karan Singh Nangyal informed that the police has announced cash rewards leading to the arrest of three main accused who are on the run. They are Amit Yadav,Saurab Kapoor and Mona Randhawa. Meanwhile, Kasumi Kapoor and her daughter Preeti Khattar said that they were forced to stay in tents and later put up a tin shed to protect themselves from elements. They demanded justice.
