An outdoor playscape using scrap material created in and around Mussoorie

An outdoor plays ape using scrap material has been created at Company garden, Kempty adventure sport and forest department premises by the Anthills, the partners of Hilldari and an environmental organisation much to the delight of tourists.

The used vehicle tyres have been reshaped and converted into  comfortable benches of elephant shape, Tyre wobblers, platform swings and spring seaters, where the children can play and enjoy in and around Mussoorie.

Around 446 kg of old scrap tyres have been recycled for the purpose which will serve as message to renew and recycle the discarded materials. An installation rotating board has also been Installed that will educate the children regarding the garbage disposal.

Stree Mukti Sangathan, are the executing partner while ‘Recity network’ are providing technical assistance for the project. The project has been funded by Nestle India,  said  Arvind Kumar Shukla the project coordinator of Hilldari project.
