Seminar on new techniques to enhance lab quality held at  Graphic Era Hospital

A seminar the topic Quality Control and Quality Assurance to discuss the new techniques in medical labs as part of the Continuing Medical Education (CME) was held at Graphic Era Hospital to discuss the new techniques in medical labs.

The seminar was addressed online by Director of Jubilee Centre for Medical Research Dr. D. M. Vasudevan and Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital’ Dr. Poonam Agrawal. The experts explained that the testing process of samples in medical laboratories is divided into pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical phases. These phases yield high results by working on error rates during tests and producing best results. Experts also shed light on quality management systems, latest technological advancements, and standards of excellence in the industry.

The seminar was organized by Department of Biochemistry in collaboration with Quidel Ortho Diagnostics. Dean Graphic Era Institute of Medical Sciences’ Dr. Sangram Singh, Medical Director Dr. Punit Tyagi, Medical Superintendent Dr. Nitin Bansal, Vice Principal Dr. Amit Verma, HOD R. Shiva Subramanyam, Dr. Ashraf Ali Khan, Dr. Himani Jitte and Dr. Priti Kumari were also present in the seminar.
