A boot camp of Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship organised by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) started at Graphic Era University from today. Experts gave tips for becoming better entrepreneurs to students hailing from different states.
The boot camp was inaugurated by Chairman of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Prof. T.G. Sitharam online. A total of nine major institutions from all over India have been selected for the 3rd phase of the boot camp. Graphic Era Deemed University is one of the selected institution. On first day of the five day boot camp, today, Graphic Era Deemed University Vice Chancellor Dr. Narpinder Singh inspired students to have a different approach in life. He said that it is very important to ask questions because curiosity is the seed that gives life to new and better innovations. In the program, Deputy Director of Directorate of Industries Rajendra Kumar said that an ecosystem of startups is being set up in Uttarakhand. A lot of opportunities have been created for new businesses and start-ups and students should develop a spark of entrepreneurship to garner success
Expert sessions were also organised in the bootcamp. Experts enlightened students about the various challenges that come in the journey of entrepreneurs. They also shared the tips and tricks to tackle them. On this occasion, students from different institutions also showcased their innovations in the exhibition.
The boot camp was organised by Ministry of Education’s Innovative Cell and All India Council for Technical Education. Ministry of Innovation Cell’s Startup Fellow Gopal Sharma, Senior Project Manager of Wadhwani Foundation Amit Singh, Department of Management Studies’ HOD Dr. Sachin Ghai, Department of Food Technology’s HOD Dr. Vinod Kumar, Dr. Sheenu Jain from LNM Institute of Information Technology and event convener Dr. Brijesh Prasad were present.
