Literary works discussed on last day of ‘Shabdavali’ Hindi literary festival
Dehradun, Sept 29 On the last day of Hindi Sahitya Sammelan avam Rajbhasha Pakhwada ‘Shabdavali’, literary works were discussed in detail. Literature lovers, writers, poets and translators urged youngsters to promote Hindi literature.
This three day literary fest was organized collaboratively by Graphic Era Hill University and Valley of Words. On the last day of Shabdavali, writer Zoram Yalam Nabam’s book ‘Gaay Gaika Ki Auraten’ was discussed. She highlighted the depth and emotional aspects of the book’s title. While sharing her experiences, she also explained the cultural significance inherent in the book. Writer Bharti Sharma and poet Mamta Kiran also expressed their views in this session.
In the second session of Shabdavali, litterateurs discussed ‘Rahul Sankrityayan’s contribution to literature’. Senior poet Shri Lakshmi Shankar Bajpai, Anjum Sharma, and Divyanshu Sharma discussed the life of Rahul Sankrityayan, his travelogues and inspiration from his literature in depth. An interesting quiz on Hindi literature was also organized in the session, in which the youth participated with great enthusiasm
In the evening session, senior poet Padma Shri Leela Dhar Jagudi recited self composed poems and recited few new poems as well. A ‘kavya Sandhya’ was also organized in this session in which various young poets participated and decorated the evening of Shabdavali with the colours of their literary works.
On this occasion, dance performance by Team Natrang, drama by Aaina Theatre Group and songs by Team Nandas coloured the evening with cultural vibrancy.
