Choosing right material for computational technology is important
Dehradun, 21 October: Experts emphasized on the importance of choosing right material for computational technologies at an International Conference organized at Graphic Era Deemed University on Computational Technologies here today. Joint Commision of GST, Uttarakhand Nishikant Singh addressed the inaugural session of this two day conference as chief guest. He said that the use of technologies like machine learning, data analytics, 3D printing, smart and nano materials can help in predicting the efficiency of these materials and produce lighter, stronger and more efficient technologies. He highlighted on the need for training and awareness programmes for students.
Prateek Negi from National Chin-Yi University of Technology, Taiwan addressed the conference online and said that Phase change materials are emerging as pivotal innovation in the field of engineering. These materials have the capacity to absorb, store and release thermal energy during phase transitions. For their sustainable approach these materials are being used in thermal insulation, advanced cooling technologies and in energy- efficient building materials as well. Manager (IP& Technology Transfer) at All India Council for Technical Education Madan Mohan Sharan Singh highlighted the importance of commercialization of new technologies and said that researchers can ensure the protection of intellectual property rights through careful examination of laws and regulations related to licencing, non disclosure agreement and other contracts.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Narpinder Singh said that technological development and production should be in line with people’s needs. Students should come forward and contribute in solving issues of the technical field. Today, 100 research papers and 200 posters were presented in the conference. The International Conference was organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering. HoD Kapil Kumar Kumar, Organizing Secretary Dr. Brijesh Prasad, Dr. Narender Garia, faculty members and students were present in the conference.
