Dharchula SDM, Ashish Joshi has said that he has sent names of 20 Indian traders to Chinese authorities in Tibet and they will cross into Tibet on August 1 from Lipulekh pass, this year. “Out of these 20 traders, we have appointed Jeewan Singh Rongkali and Chakra Singh Garbiyal as trader’s liaison officers as Chinese have said that they want to talk only with representatives of Indian traders concerning the facilities required in Tibet during trade period.
“Officially the border trade will end by last week of October but if both the countries agree, it could be enhanced up to last week of November,” said the SDM and designated trade officer.
