Dehradun, 22 October There were wild celebrations and joy amongst students of Graphic Era Deemed University after MBA student Ankita Dhyani won gold medal in Asian Cross Country Championship. Ankita has won this gold medal with her team in this championship held in Hong Kong.
Ankita Dhyani, an MBA student at Graphic Era Deemed University, has previously represented the country in 5000 metre race at the Paris Olympics. In the Hong Kong’s Asian Cross Country Championship, Ankita Dhyani along with her team mates Seema, Sanjivani Jadhav and Sonia secured the gold medal in 10 kilometre cross country race.
Celebrations began at Graphic Era Deemed University as soon as the news of Ankita’s team winning the gold medal in Hong Kong reached the university. Students and faculty members along with other staff members are also excited about this proud achievement. Sweets were distributed in the university campus in celebration of the victory.
Chairman of Graphic Era Group of Institutions Dr. Kamal Ghanshala congratulated Ankita and stated that this remarkable victory is an achievement that brings pride to the university and state along with entire country. Dr. Ghanshala said that five students of Graphic Era have created history by participating in various competitions at the Paris Olympics. This clearly shows that Graphic Era not only excels at amazing placements, gifting big discoveries to the world and high quality education but is also leading at encouraging sports and athletes.
