UPCL provided subsidy worth Rs. 15 crore to five lakh electricity consumers

Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) has provided to its’ more than 05 lakh consumers subsidy worth more than Rs 15 crore on their electricity consumption bills through the billing system from the month of September till November last.
Under the decisive leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and guidance of Secretary (Energy) Meenakshi Sundram, is making earnest efforts to provide smooth power supply to the consumers at the lowest rate.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar singh Dhami on his auspicious birthday in the month of September had announced to provide relief in electricity bills, according to which UPCL is giving the benefit of subsidy in electricity rates to the consumers of the state, including all such domestic category consumers of snow-covered areas whose monthly electricity consumption is up to 200 units per month and all such domestic category consumers of other areas whose contracted load is up to 1 kW and monthly electricity consumption is up to 100 units, on the basis of their electricity consumption.
The benefit of this subsidy is being given on the electricity consumption of consumers through the billing system of UPCL from 01 September 2024. Other related electricity consumers can avail the facility of subsidy by making their declaration/undertaking available in the concerned section office by March 31, 2025.
