In civic poll rallies, Dhami talks of implementing UCC soon

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that under BJP rule, Uttarakhand is becoming first state after independence to implement Uniform Civil Code (UCC) to realise the dream of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. ” The act we are going to implement in the state soon, will please the soul of Baba Saheb,” claimed Dhami.
Addressing an election meeting in support of BJP candidate Kalpana Devlal, the Chief Minister said that not only the state is going to implement UCC, but also would soon bring an effective and strict land law that will protect the agricultural lands in the hills. ” We have so far punished the land owners in 750 cases of violation of land laws till date,” said the chief minister.
Dhami said that with the implementation of strict anti copying act in the state, the state has been holding 3 to 4 competitive examination in a year without any problem.” We have provided over 29000 government jobs in the state in last three years, ” claimed the CM.
CM said that the budget of under construction Pithoragarh Medical College has been raised from Rs 400 crore to Rs.700 crore to make available infrastructure that provides super speciality medical services in the college.”We have provided air connectivity from Pithoragarh to Delhi, Haldwani, Dehradun and Almora in a year’s time,” said the CM.
“We have upgraded the Pithoragarh Nagar Palika Parishad to a municipal Corporation to make it a model town,” said the Chief Minister
He further charged that main opposition Congress party is a divided house in Pithoragarh and a confused party in the state.”They have a record of opposing abolition of article 370 in J&K, Ram Janam Bhoomi, and remained involved in corrupt deeds in last 70 years of their rule.”After abolition of Article 370, today our security personnel have freed Kashmir valley of stone throwers,” he further claimed.
Besides Mayoral candidate Kalpana Devlal and party councillors in Pithoragarh, Dhami also appealed to the voters to vote for party candidate, Vimal Rawal in Gangolihat, Hira Dhanik in Berinag, Satyawan Nikhurpa in Munsiyari, Lokesh Bhad in Didihat and Bera Sharma in Dharchula.
