RIMC Cadet Tops NDA / NA (II) 2024: A Landmark Achievement for the Premier military institute
28 Cadets from RIMC qualify final UPSC selections, Setting a New National Benchmark

Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun has once again made the nation proud as Cadet Imon Ghosh from West Bengal clinched All-India Rank 1 in the NDA-INA II 2024 Examination, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. This outstanding result reaffirms RIMC’s status as the premier institution for grooming future leaders of the Indian Armed Forces.
The feat is not only a personal triumph for Cadet Ghosh but also a reflection of the rigorous academic framework, disciplined lifestyle, and unwavering mentor-ship provided at RIMC. The College’s commitment to holistic development—nurturing both intellect and character—continues to bear fruit.
RIMC’s excellence continues with Four other cadets securing positions in the top 20 nationwide and 10 in top 100:

Brahma Swarup Das – AIR 14
Shravan Agarwal – AIR 15
Aditya Raj – AIR 17
In total, a record-breaking number of 28 cadets from RIMC making the final selections in UPSC- the highest from any single institution across the country. This remarkable number not only upholds but strengthens RIMC’s legacy as a consistent feeder to the armed forces’ officer cadre.
The success is collectively attributed to the team effort led by Commandant Col Rahul Agarwal, (under aegis of Army Training Command) with emphasis on structured mentor-ship, character-building, military leadership and academic depth has created an environment where excellence becomes a habit. His leadership has steered RIMC towards consistently surpassing its own benchmarks over the past year.
An ably led team of faculty and mentors under Mr. P.K. Jain and Col Hari Bisht, has provided meticulous guidance in SSB preparations and career mentoring equipping the cadets to navigate the demanding selection process. Subject faculty also played an instrumental role, providing both academic insight and strategic support for the UPSC syllabus.
