Third batch of Kailash Mansarowar pilgrims return

Pithoragarh, July 26 The third batch of Kailash Mansarowar pilgrims from Lipulekh pass this year, has returned from Tibet today.
The batch has a total 47 pilgrims from across the country.
The batch had entered Tibet from Lipulekh pass on July 18, this year.
“With returning of 3rd batch, a total of 140 pilgrims have done KM yatra in 3 batches this year. The two yatra batches consisting 50 pilgrims each will arrive on 4th and 9th August next month.”said Dhan Singh, incharge of base camp of nodal agency KMVN at Dharchula.
“Though the batch is scheduled to rest at Bundi or Gunji camps tonight, but due to ongoing panchayat elections, we are trying to send batch to Dharchula for night stay, if road condition permits.”said the base camp incharge.
The Kailash Mansarowar Yatra, that was resumed after 5 years of gap this year, was allowed a total of 750 pilgrims including 500 Indian pilgrims in 10 batches from Nathu la pass in Sikkim and 250 pilgrims in 5 batches from Lipulekh pass in Uttarakhand.
