RIMC hosts RMS Principals’ conclave to strengthen military preparatory education


Dehradun,  Sept 4

Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, hosted a two-day RMS Principals’ Conclave on 03 and 04 September 2025, bringing together the heads of five Rashtriya Military Schools (RMS) from across the country. The conclave served as a collaborative platform to exchange best practices, align academic and training standards, and reinforce the shared mission of preparing cadets for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA).

The principals who attended included Lt Col K Anup Nair (RMS Bengaluru), Mr. V.K. Gangwal Jain (RMS Chail), Lt Col Ritu (RMS Ajmer), Lt Col Prabha Bisht (RMS Belgaum), and Lt Col Amit Sharma (RMS Dholpur).

The event commenced with a felicitation ceremony by Col Rahul Agarwal, Commandant, RIMC, followed by detailed sessions with  Deans of Faculty on academics, sports, cultural activities, and the management of newly inducted girl cadets. Constructive discussions also covered infrastructure innovation, faculty development, extracurricular enrichment, and strategies to further enhance NDA examination results.

Both RIMC and RMS leadership emphasized the importance of closer institutional synergy to uphold the highest standards of cadet grooming. The conclave concluded with a roadmap for future cooperation, including academic collaboration, inter-institutional exchanges, and shared infrastructure strategies.

The RMS Principals’ Conclave 2025 stands as a milestone in uniting premier feeder institutions of the Armed Forces, reaffirming their collective commitment to producing disciplined, fit, and academically excellent cadets destined to lead the Nation in uniform.
