Growing Need for 3D—Document, Display, and Dissemination—Across Professions, Says Padma Shri Dr. B. K. S. Sanjay
Dehradun, Dec 16
“Public relations is essential for public work of public service,” said Padma Shri Dr. B. K. S. Sanjay, President of AIIMS Guwahati, as he addressed the 47th All India Public Relations Conference here on Sunday.
Dr. Sanjay, a Guinness World Record holder, emphasized that meaningful public service thrives on trust, transparency, and active engagement with society. According to him, building a better community requires dialogue, understanding, and participation from all stakeholders.
Honoured as a guest of honour, Dr. Sanjay expressed gratitude to the organisers, especially Dr. Ajit Pathak, Shri U.S. Sharma, and Siddarth Bansal, for providing the platform to share his experiences. The conference was graced by Ritu Khanduri, Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, and Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and Former Union Education Minister. Other dignitaries included Sandeep Gupta, MD GAIL, Banshidhar Tiwari, secretary to the Chief Minister Uttarakhand, and Dr. Ajit Pathak, President All India Public Relations Association), with nearly 300 delegates from across the country in attendance.
Dr. Sanjay also highlighted the tripod of success: Behaviour, Knowledge, and Skill (BKS). “If you ever forget this, just remember my initials — B K S: B for Behaviour, K for Knowledge, and S for Skill,” he said.
He introduced the 3D approach—Document, Display, and Dissemination—as a guiding principle for effective public relations. Documentation ensures accuracy, display enhances understanding, and dissemination reaches the right audience.
“3D transforms information into influence, builds trust, and enables meaningful engagement with stakeholders,” concluded Dr. Sanjay, underlining the growing need for structured, transparent, and engaging public relations across all professions.
