SSB DG visits border posts along Indo-Nepal border

Pithoragarh, Feb 12
Sanjay Singhal, Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), visited border security posts at Indo-Nepal situated at a height of 11800 feet on February 11 and motivated all ranks of the force to continue discharging their assigned duties with commitment to national security, as per a press communique, issued by 11th Battalion of SSB, here today. The SSB, a para-military force guards the Indo-Nepal border.
“The DG visited Gunji, Nabhidhang, Kalapani, Gothi border posts and company headquarter at Gunji and Garbiyang and inspected the motor bridge at Indo- Nepal border bridge at Charchum,” said the press communique.
The DG praised the troops for their high standards of discipline, operational readiness, unwavering devotion to duty, despite extreme climatic and challenging terrain conditions. He also emphasised on importance of maintaining optimum physical fitness and high moral at the border posts.
The DG was given details of extent of operational jurisdiction, deployment pattern and border management by force at border at Nabhidang.”The DG also visited Kali Mandir at Kalapani where he paid a visit to the origin of River Kali that makes the Indo-Nepal border and holds strategic and geographical significance at the Indo- Nepal border.
