Graphic Era Lab to now test materials used in roads, buildings and bridges
Dehradun, March 27
Material used in roads, bridges, and buildings will now be tested at Graphic Era University. The National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) has granted accreditation to Graphic Era Deemed University for this purpose.
Receiving NABL accreditation is not only a testament to Graphic Era’s high standards of quality but also establishes it as a world-class training center aligned with international standards. NABL has awarded the university the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certification, recognizing it under the ‘General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.’
With this recognition, the Materials Testing Lab at Graphic Era has become more empowered to provide certified testing services for materials used in government institutions, private companies, and infrastructure projects. Equipped with modern technology and advanced instruments, the lab can test construction materials such as concrete, soil, steel, cement, bricks, aggregates, and bitumen. It also offers non-destructive testing facilities.
This achievement reflects Graphic Era’s excellence in research and its strong collaboration with industries. It will not only provide students with enhanced practical exposure but also help them develop industry-relevant skills.
Vice Chancellor, Dr. Napinder Singh stated that the Civil Engineering lab is equipped with adequate technology and expert professionals to conduct testing as per NABL standards and deliver accurate reports.
