Semiconductors to become more advanced with AI
Dehradun, March 30
The students of the Graphic Era University were given information about smart tools for building electronic devices, AI-based workflows, and methods to improve device technology at a special session organized today on the use of AI tools in next-generation semiconductor modeling.
Addressing the session, IIT Roorkee Professor Dr. Sudeb Dasgupta said that in the era of AI, technology is reaching new heights. Semiconductor devices at the scale of 2–3 nanometers are becoming more advanced, for which an understanding of physics is essential. AI tools and smart processes improve design and manufacturing. Youth should develop technologies with innovation that are practical, effective, and capable of shaping the future.
The session was jointly organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication, Graphic Era Deemed University, and the Bureau of Indian Standards. Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Santosh S. Sarraf, Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Dr. Irfanul Hasan, Dr. Wariz Pawar, Dr. Piyush Pandey, other faculty members, and students were present at the program.
