Ravi Tamta, (32), a technical innovator based at Kaflukhan, Almora successfully tested à one seater electric helicar assembled by him at his own workshop, today. d.
According to eye witnesses, the helicar assembled by him at the local level flew for one minute and landed successfully at a local ground.”The helicar with 4 rotor blades and a seat was flown by Tamta for one minute amidst speculation of the gathered crowd, “said Shekhar Dwivedi, an eye witness of the event. Tamta has flown a locally assembled helicopter in 2014 also.
Briefing the present media persons, Ravi Tamta said that the electric helicar developed by him could be used in traffic control work on highways.” if the government let me permit, I would like to obtain a patent for the device,” he said.
Talking about the capacity of newly developed device, he said that if permitted by DGCA, he can travel to his village Kaflukhan at 40 km distance from Almora town in 40 minutes time.
