Road block stop Kailash Mansarovar Yatra

The 4th batch of Kailash Mansarowar Yatra from Lipulekh pass has been stopped at base camp Dharchula, due to closure of road to Gunji camp following continuous shooting of heavy boulders and debris at Gasku point of the road. The batch consists of 48 members  including 14 women pilgrims, hailed from all across the country.

Quoting Border roads organisation sources, the Kumoan Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN) officer said that it could take some time  to clear the road after the work starts. “The batch would only leave for Gunji after the road clears,”said KMVN base camp incharge.

The road at Gasku point is closed from last five ays due to fall of boulders on road from hilltop.

“As shooting of boulders is continue, the BRO personnels are not in position to state the cleaning work on the road, the work could only be started when the shooting of boulders stop,” said Dhan Singh Bisht in- charge of KMVN base camp at Dharchula.

According to schedule, the 4th batch of pilgrims had to reach Gunji camp today, where it would rest for 2 nights before leaving for another high altitude camp of Nabhidhang.
