Graphic Era’s Temperature Sensor Receives Patent

Graphic Era University has achieved another milestone in the field of innovation and technological research. The Organic Thin Film Temperature Sensor developed by faculty members of the university has been granted an Indian patent by the Government of India.
Dr. Abhilasha Mishra of Graphic Era Deemed University and Dr. Arun Pratap Singh Rathore of Graphic Era Hill University have been granted the Indian patent for their ‘Organic Thin Film Temperature Sensor.’ The Government of India granted the patent under Patent No. 593200 on June 24, 2026. Developed using flexible organic materials, this low cost and highly efficient sensor is capable of reliably measuring temperature under varying conditions. It can be used across a wide range of sectors, including industrial units, household appliances, hospitals, and educational institutions. The technology is also expected to open new possibilities in the field of modern flexible electronics.
On the occasion, Acting Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University, Dr. Tabassum Naqvi said that the achievement reflects Graphic Era’s strong culture of quality research and innovation. She added that such efforts will inspire researchers to develop socially beneficial technologies and take application oriented research at the university to new heights.
