Kailash Mansarowar pilgrim die of cardiac arrest at Lipulekh pass

Pithoragarh, July 22

Gauri Shankar Khandelwal,(63), a ‘Kailash Mansarowar’ pilgrim of second batch, today died of cardiac arrest at Lipulekh pass soon after the batch cross over to Indian territory from Tibet, Dharchula SDM, Ashish Joshi said.

“The pilgrim was declared dead by army doctors at Army MI room and the dead body has been sent to Pithoragarh by state helicopter. The body is accompanied by deceased ‘s wife Nisha Khandelwal, who was also a pilgrim of second batch of pilgrims. The deceased pilgrim belonged to Rajasthan.
