Forest Department Employees Learning AI Applications at Graphic Era
Dehradun, July 28: Employees of the Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation are undergoing training on the use of Artificial Intelligence at Graphic Era University.
A three-day Employee Development Program on “Prompt Engineering, AI Tools and Their Applications” commenced today at Graphic Era Deemed University. Addressing the inaugural session, Vice Chancellor Dr. Narpinder Singh said that Artificial Intelligence is not a replacement for humans but a supportive tool that enhances efficiency in work processes. He added that obtaining better results from AI-based systems requires giving clear and precise instructions and verifying the factual accuracy of the generated output. Acting Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University, Dr. Tabassum Naqvi, urged the participants to overcome their hesitation towards technology and make the most of its potential.
During the three-day EDP, the participants will be trained in effective prompt engineering, the practical use of ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, cyber security, and AI-enabled office workflows.
The EDP has been jointly organized by the Schools of Management of Graphic Era Deemed University and Graphic Era Hill University. The programme was also attended by Pro Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed University Dr. Santosh S. Saraf, Registrar Dr. Naresh Kumar Sharma, Head of the School of Management Dr. Navneet Rawat, and Dr. Shyam Kapri.
