The personnels of Sahastra Seema Bal (SSB), deputed at Indo Nepal border post at Tarigaon village again came to the aid of the villagers on the border as they carried an ailing old man of the village to roadside up to 2 km on their shoulders as the village has no youth left to take such responsibilities.

“When we were informed by villagers that 85 years old Gopi Chand of the Tarigaon village has gone seriously ill and there are no sufficient number of youths available in the village to take him to roadside that is a  distance of 2 km from the road, we sent our Jawans to take the old man up to roadside to be taken to hospital from there,” said Shivji Lal, an officer of 55 battalion of SSB deputed at this part of  Indo-Nepal border.

Surya Prakash, son of patient Gopi Chand said that the SSB personnels took his father on a stretcher up to Takula locality passing through 2 km long tough terrain from his village up to the motor road. “Out of 45 families of the Village, no youths are available as all them have left the village to find livelihood outside, “said Surya Prakash.
