Air services to Pithoragarh resume

The Dehradun-Pantnagar-Pithoragarh air service, resumed on May 16 after fortnight as flights of 19 seater aircraft service was closed due to smoke generated due to forest fires and other reasons, ‘Fly Big Aviation company officials which run the service informed.
“From next week the ‘Fly Big Aviation’ company will run flights between Dehradun to Pantnagar and Pithoragarh for 5 days in a week,” announced Shivani, General Manager (commercial) of Fly Big Aviation.
Amidst criticism of closed air service to Pithoragarh from Dehradun from last 15 days after it started on April 1, this year, BJP leader Ganesh Bhandari had announced that the service will resume from May 16.”The air services from PIthoragarh to New Delhi would start soon,” claimed Ganesh Bhandari, a senior BJP leader.
Meanwhile, the Helicopter services between Pantnagar-Pithoragarh-cHmapwat and Munsiyari started by Heritage Aviation could not be resumed. The people of the remote areas who appreciated the stars of heli services remain disappointed. It was believed that due to every increasing demand of helicopters by ‘Char Dham Yatra’ pilgrims, the helicopters for Kumoan heli services could be provided.
