Graphic Era Hospital is the first in Uttarakhand to perform the most heart valve cases through Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) procedures in a short span of time. Graphic Era hospital’s doctors have changed 4 heart valves at a heart disease camp held recently.These valves were changed through TAVI procedure.
A few cases came in the camp where an open heart surgery was not possible. doctor’s changed the damaged aortic valve with a new valve thorough Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation procedure. These valves are made from animal tissues. These valves were changed by Graphic Era Hospital’s specialist team of Dr. Akhilesh Pandey, Dr. Raj Pratap Singh, Dr. Himanshu Rana, Dr. Pulkit Malhotra and Dr. S. P. Gautam.
Earlier, Graphic Era’s specialists have performed more than 325 open heart surgeries and more than 75 Pediatric Device Closure Procedure in children including less than 1 year of age. Along with this Pediatric Intervention service for the development of children less than 1 month of age is also available in the hospital.
In the ongoing heart disease camp, patients over 60 years of age are being provided free consultation for ECG, ECHO and TMT services.
