Dr. Durgest Pant calls for balance between management and technology at International Conference at Graphic Era University
Dehradun, June 30
Director General of Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST) Dr. Durgesh Pant has said that India is a land of management and technology related solutions. He was addressing a two day international conference organised on the topic ‘Advances in Management and Technology’ at the Graphic Era Deemed University,here on Saturday.
Dr. Durgesh Pant said that management and technology are correlated and there is need to create a balance in between the two and it is necessary to combine human emotions in the management as well. He said that there is no dearth of talent and enterprise in the country as was evident during Covid pandemic that things that were earlier not being manufactured in India, also started being produced here. It included PPE kits and even corona virus vaccines.
In the conference, Akhil Agarwal,head of Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing, a German company gave detailed information about the role of artificial intelligence in augmenting business evolving in near future. Capt. Rajeshri Thapa (retd) convenor of the conference said that more than 35 presentation were made during the seminar.
The international conference was organised by School of Management. Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University Dr. Sanjay Jasola, HOD Prof. Sachin Ghai, program convener Dr. Manu Sharma, co- convener Deepak Kaushal, Dr. Girish Lakhera, Dr. M. P. Singh, Doon University’s Dr. Sudhanshu Joshi, faculty members, PhD scholars and students were present in the conference.

MBA students undertook training at IIM, Indore
A group of students pursuing MBA Impact from Graphic Era Deemed University took training under the Student Development Program at the Indian Institute of Management, (IIM) Indore. During the training, the students were taught the intricacies of management, marketing, accounting, finance, human resources and other areas. It also included strategies, concepts and models related to management.
The training by IIM, Indore professionals would be helpful in improving the development, skills and leadership of the students in the changing scenario of management.
