Diya Chaudhary, a student of The Heritage School North Campus has created a record by winning her second I.T.F. title in two weeks in Ghana, Africa. Earlier, she had won the J30 International Tennis Federation tournament on September 9, 2024 . She became the first 15 year old girl ever to win two ITF titles from Uttarakhand. Players from Great Britain, Russia, Nigeria , USA, Pakistan ,Benin, Ghana ,Madagascar and Tunisia participated in the tournament.
Diya has put India and the state of Uttarakhand on the map of world tennis by beating a number of international player from all over the globe. Diya clinched her 2nd I.T.F. title by beating Leila Akhmetova of Russia 5-7,6-2,6-1 in the final.
The 15 year old Diya Chaudhary by winning ITF J30 Accra Ghana has displayed immense talent and grit during the whole tournament. She won the title without losing a single set in all her matches.
She won the final match against Alisha Ndukwu of Great Britain with score 6-0 and 7-5 in her earlier title match. Diya gave credit for her victory to her coach Pritam Singh of the Heritage Tennis Academy and more importantly her mother Chandrika Chaudhary who has been a pillar of her strength throughout her journey.
