European experts trained students at Graphic Era University

Experts from Europe gave training of bioinformatics to the students at Graphic Era University given in a workshop organized under the five-day international conference. Dr. George Batista da Rocha and Dr. Louisse Paola Mirabueno of European Bioinformatics Institute, United Kingdom were present as experts in the workshop. The experts trained the students in modification of genetic data with the help of computational tools and methods, understanding and analyzing the data, use of genome browser for genome study, identification of genes with variant effect predictor, application programming interface etc. The experts also gave information about the working of Ensemble website. 30 selected students from universities across the country participated in this training.
Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University Dr. Sanjay Jasola said that this training is important for shaping the future of the students. The workshop was organized by the School of Agriculture in collaboration with European Bioinformatics Institute Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom.
