Graphic Era reaches out to help Uttarkashi disaster victims

Dehradun, Aug 7 Graphic Era group of Institutions has sent ration packets today to help the disaster-affected people of Dharali and Harsil. The district administration delivered these packets to the affected families using helicopters.This afternoon, Graphic Era’s disaster relief team reached Uttarkashi with the ration. To ensure immediate delivery, the district administration requested the team to reach Matli Helipad. At the relief and rescue center in Matli, Nodal Officer Mr. Sudhir Joshi quickly arranged to send the ration packets to the disaster victims via helicopters. The relief work was done under the guidance of Additional District Magistrate Ms. Mukta Mishra. The ration packets sent by Graphic Era contained 4,000 kg of wheat flour, rice, lentils, sugar, oil, spices, tea, and other essentials.The relief team of teachers from Graphic Era Deemed University and Graphic Era Hill University included Team Leader Dr. Amar Dabral and Team Coordinator Dr. Anuj Thapliyal, along with Dr. Ravish Kukreti, Mr. Kartikey Raina, Mr. Anoop Bahuguna, Mr. Rahul Vaishnav, and Mr. Janmejay Shah. This team also helped ITBP personnel in loading the relief material into helicopters.Earlier this morning, the relief vehicles loaded with supplies were flagged off from Graphic Era Deemed University by Chairman of Graphic Era Group of Institutions, Dr. Kamal Ghanshala. Dr. Ghanshala said that in this difficult time, the Graphic Era family stands with the people of Dharali and Harsil. He added that the efforts of the state government and district administration are a big inspiration for everyone. Everyone is saddened by this disaster and doing their best to reduce the pain and suffering of the victims. Present on this occasion were Registrar of Graphic Era Deemed University Dr. Naresh Kumar Sharma, Director (Infrastructure) Dr. Subhash Gupta, and Administrative Officer Mr. Nikesh Joshi.A team of doctors from Graphic Era Hospital had already reached Uttarkashi yesterday with medicines to help the affected people of Dharali and Harsil. The district administration deployed this team to treat people who were being rescued from the disaster area by helicopters to Matli. Led by Dr. Ashok and Dr. Ankita Tomar, the team provided medical assistance to many victims today.
