Experts at Graphic Era shared information about the causes, early symptoms, and long-term effects of diabetes. They emphasized timely check-ups, balanced nutrition, and lifestyle improvement as the main ways to prevent it.

A health camp was organized today at Graphic Era Deemed University under World Diabetes Week on Wednesday. Director of the Diabetes Department and Diabetologist Dr. Sunil Kumar Mishra from Graphic Era Medical College said that investing in health is the most beneficial investment in life. He said that an imbalanced diet, inactive routine, stress, and a disorganized lifestyle are the major reasons behind diabetes, and small improvements in these habits can become our biggest protection. Dr. Mishra added that timely awareness and regular check-ups not only help control the disease but can also prevent its onset.

Senior Diabetes Educator Shweta Singh from Graphic Era Medical College said that diabetes is no longer a disease of the elderly; it is now affecting young people and children as well. She said that lifestyle changes are not a substitute for medicine, but a solution that comes even before medicine in preventing diabetes.

In the health camp, important tests like BMI, blood sugar, and blood pressure of more than 250 teachers, students, and staff members were conducted, and experts also provided personalized health consultations. Participants not only assessed their health status but also received useful and practical guidance for preventing diabetes and other diseases.
