Graphic Era hosts ‘Supercharge’26’ powered by Apple

Reaffirming the role of strong industry-academia collaboration in shaping future-ready professionals, Graphic Era hosted ‘Supercharge ’26’ powered by Apple. The two-day event was held on January 21 and 22. The event inspired Computer Science and Engineering students to explore the possibilities of emerging technologies, offered hands-on experience with iOS App development and created meaningful opportunities to connect with industry experts.
Hosted across the Silver Jubilee Convention Centre and the iOS Development Centre at the university, ‘Supercharge ’26’ created a vibrant atmosphere on campus, fuelling student excitement and building momentum around innovation and creativity.
The plenary session, ‘Develop the Future,’ exposed students to interact with successful industry experts and emerging trends in mobile technology. The hands-on workshop, ‘Create an App Prototype,’ conducted at the iOS Development Centre, empowered students to bring their ideas to life by building functional mobile app prototypes using macOS and iOS in real-time. Finally, the ‘Spotlight’ session showcased the advanced capabilities of Mac, demonstrating how performance, portability, and ecosystem integration can enhance both academic work and creative exploration.
Chairman of Graphic Era Group of Institutions, Prof. (Dr.) Kamal Ghanshala, highlighted the importance of industry and academia collaboration in equipping students with future-ready skills. He said “Initiatives like iOS Development Centre and the Supercharge’26 powered by Apple are a reflection of strong industry-academia partnership which is imperative for delivering globally-acceptable quality education”.
Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dr. Narpinder Singh, noted that “Supercharge’26 offered a valuable platform for industry interaction, and familiarized students with latest technologies, encouraged them to explore new opportunities in emerging sectors and develop skills to become future ready.”
Industry-Academia Lead and Faculty, Computer Science, Mr. Tejasvi Ghanshala added, “The key takeaway from Supercharge’26 was experiential learning aligned with industry needs. The event provided insights on innovation-driven careers and the competencies essential for the future workforce.”
Head of the iOS Development Centre, Dr. Sachin Ghai, emphasized how the evolving tech landscape is creating new opportunities for students. He said that “Supercharge’26 offered students valuable insights into Apple’s technology ecosystem and current industry practices, inspiring them to build innovative solutions and pursue careers in the rapidly growing app economy.”
Senior university leadership, including the Vice Chancellor and Registrar, Pro Vice Chancellor, Deans, and Heads of Departments, were present during the plenary session.
In June 2025, Graphic Era launched the iOS Student Developer Program, powered by Apple and Infosys, with the objective of preparing students for careers in the iOS app economy. By providing links between industry and academia the program increases access to technology, curriculum, and improved pedagogical approaches that help prepare students with valuable skills used in industry. The iOS Student Developer Program is designed to build essential problem-solving and critical-thinking skills students need to thrive in today’s global technology industry.
With the successful conclusion of Supercharge’ 26, Graphic Era Deemed to be University continues to reaffirm its focus on innovation, academic excellence, and the development of future-ready professionals.
