School of Law Induction Programme Begins at Graphic Era University

Dehradun, August 4: Former Registrar General of the Uttarakhand High Court, Mr. V. K. Maheshwari, said that the legal profession is one where the journey of learning never comes to an end. He emphasized that a successful legal professional is someone who remains curious and eager to learn from every experience, every interaction, and every opportunity.

He was addressing the Induction Programme of the School of Law at Graphic Era Deemed University today. He urged students not to limit their education to textbooks alone but to actively participate in discussions, debates, and the university’s academic and cultural activities. Such involvement not only enhances knowledge but also contributes to the overall development of one’s personality.

Deputy Commissioner of Garhwal Division, Mr. Rajendra Rawat said that the field of law offers limitless opportunities for students. He noted that young law graduates can establish themselves from rural areas to international platforms, provided they work with dedication, honesty, and commitment. Col. (Retd.) Bhaskar Bharti also addressed the gathering.

The induction programme reflected the excitement among the newly admitted students as they took their first step into the world of law. Despite their initial hesitation, they enthusiastically participated in ice-breaking and interactive activities, introduced themselves to one another, made new friends, and interacted with the faculty members. During the programme, the students were introduced to various aspects of legal education, including moot courts, debates, and legal studies. They also got their first glimpse of the values of reasoning, justice, and leadership that will shape their academic journey. The programme was attended by Head of the Department Dr. Ashutosh Hajela, Dr. Shailja Thakur, other faculty members, and students.
