Dr. Kamal Ghanshala called upon students to broaden their perspective for success

Dehradun,  August 8

Chairman of Graphic Era Group of Institutions Dr. Kamal Ghanshala has called upon students to broaden their perspective to achieve success since practical knowledge is more important than numbers and more useful in solving real challenges of life.

Dr. Kamal Ghanshala was addressing students and their parents in Graphic Era Hill University’s induction program of B.Tech programmes’s new session. He said that success is not achieved in a day and for this, setting a goal from the very first day is necessary. Realising one’s own shortcomings and working on them makes the path of success easy and along with practical knowledge, soft skills, body language, discipline and professionalism play equally important role.

He said that whether a student scores 90% marks every year in school till 12th class or only 50%, he or she advance to the next class but in a professional course the conditions are going to change. He further said that after B.Tech course, professional life begins and knowledge and training are the deciding factors for the level of success. “Students have to put their study of 19 years and training in an interview of few minutes in the form of body language , communication skills and knowledge and for this, hard work and training is required. Graphic Era keeps track of these requirements from the very first day, “ he added.

Dr. Ghanshala, while telling his story of success encouraged students to not get distracted from hard work and keep focusing on the goal. He emphasized on the importance of learning new technologies according to one’s interest and taking part in games and other activities for physical fitness. He said that the students of Graphic Era not only get placements in big companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe but are also provided with facilities of incubation centre and expert guidance for start-ups as well. With this facility, more than 75+ big start-ups worth rs. 500 crore have been established by the students of Graphic Era who are now providing employment to others.

Chairman Dr. Kamal Ghanshala warned students against drugs, gambling, cyber crime and accidents by giving many examples. Dr. Ghanshala beautifully sang the lines of renowned poet Santoshanand- “Aankhon me samandar hai, aashao ka paani hai, zindagi or kuch bhi nai, teri meri kahani hai,”… He connected these lines with the emotions of those hopeful parents who were leaving their children far away from them for studies. With his words and style, many mothers of those students got emotional who had come from distant places to leave their children.

In the induction program, short films related to the activities that are organised in Graphic and medical college were also shown. In the program, Vice Chancellor Dr. Sanjay Jasola, Registrar Dr. Arvind Dhar, Director Infrastructure Dr. Subhash Gupta, HOD of Computer Science Dr. Dibyahash Bordoloi and HOD of BTech first year Dr. Amit Mishra were present.
