Vijayadashmi celebrated at Graphic Era with burning of Ravana effigy
Dehradun, October 12:                         Graphic Era educational institutions celebrated Vijayadashami festival with joy and enthusiasm here today. The victory of good over evil was celebrated by burning a 30 feet Ravana.
A programme was organized in Graphic Era Deemed University’s ground for hostelers. On this auspicious occasion of Dussehra, faculty members and students of Graphic Era prepared an effigy of Ravana together. It was made by using hollow pipe and hard paper. The effigy was given the shape of ten heads and four hands. As soon as Ravan Dahan took place, students chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and congratulated each other. On this occasion, students made the Dussehra evening even more memorable by singing bhajans.
On this occasion, Pro Chancellor Prof. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor Dr. Narpinder Singh, Incharge Registrar Dr. M.P Singh, faculty members and students were present.
