Treatment of Cancer using Laparoscopic Surgery at Graphic Era Hospital

Specialists at Graphic Era Hospital have successfully treated two cases of cancer endometrium using Laparoscopic Surgery.
Two women aged 53 and 66 respectively were diagnosed with early stage cancer endometrium at Graphic Era Hospital. The team of specialists at Graphic Era Hospital achieved success in treating cancer in both the patients. The procedure included laparoscopic type A radical hysterectomy, bilateral salphingooophorectomy and bilateral lymph node dissection. The team of specialists include Graphic Era Hospital’s specialist Dr. Anoosha K. Ravi and doctors from Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Dr. Anoosha k. Ravi said that Laparoscopic Surgery is a minimally invasive surgical procedure and a special equipment is used to precisely remove the cancer affected area. In this procedure, the patient experiences less pain with minimum complications and faster recovery. She said that the 53 years old patient had previously undergone Laparoscopic cholecystectomy at Graphic Era Hospital. She was discharged just two days after her cancer treatment. This surgery was done under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Similarly, the 66 years old patient diagnosed with grade 2 cancer endometrium was also discharged three days after the surgery. Both the patients are recovering fast after the treatment.
