SSB, police joint patrolling along Indo-Nepal border

Pithoragarh, March 2
Following the closure of international border with Nepal at Jhoolaghat region from tonight, Pithoragarh police along with personnel of Sahastra Seema Bal (SSB), today intensified their vigil on the border to prevent entry of any unwanted elements to and from the Indo-Nepal border as parliamentary elections are being held in Nepal on March 5.
” We are carrying out combined patrolling along with SSB personnels at villages and isolated places situated along River Kali, that makes border with Nepal at this point of Indo -Nepal border,” said Sanjeev Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) of Jhoolaghat police post
According to the Indian police officer, their efforts is aimed at maintaining peace and security at Indian side of border in order to make the elections in Nepal peaceful.
Nepal is going to elections on March 5 this year for which the border with India would be closed from March 2 to March 5.
