The 48 member first batch of ‘Kailash Mansarowar yatra 2026’, has entered Tibet from 17500 feet high Lipulekh pass at 9.5 AM today, according to officials at Dharchula base camp of Kumoan Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN), the nodal government agency conducting the yatra.

“Besides 48 pilgrims the batch also includes a doctor and four supporting staff with it.,” said Dhan Singh Bisht, incharge of nodal agency KMVN base camp Dharchula.

The first batch of ‘Kailash Mansarowar yatra’ initially consisted of 49 pilgrims but one member of batch returned from Gunji camp due to his personal problems.

While the first batch entered into Tibet, the 47 members second batch has delayed it’s journey from Dharchula due to land slide at Lakhanpur on the yatra route. “The batch will reach Gunji today where it will rest for the night and will continue the onward journey towards Lipulekh pass tomorrow,” said the base camp incharge.
