Free counselling camp organized on the occasion of Uttarakhand State Foundation Day

On the occasion of Foundation Day of Uttarakhand, a free health camp was organized by Sanjay Orthopaedic, Spine and Maternity Centre, Jakhan, Rajpur Road, Dehradun,today.
While examining patients Padma Shri awarded senior orthopaedic surgeon Dr. B.K. S.Sanjay said that due to geographical reasons, the problem of back pain and joint pain is more in the hilly areas of our state of Uttarakhand as compared to the plain areas. He said that in such a situation, people should be aware about their health and changes should be made in eating habits and their daily routine.To avoid diseases like diabetes, hypertension and cholesterol, one should develop the habit of eating coarse grains, he said.
During the camp, the second orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Gaurav Sanjay, who is the joint secretary of Dehradun Orthopaedic Society, said that people should be aware of their health and for good health, people should eat a balanced and nutritious diet, exercise regularly, work diligently and take eight hours of deep sleep.
Gynaecologist, honoured by the President of India, Dr. Sujata Sanjay, conducted free tests and told the visiting patients and relatives that women power has a huge contribution in making Uttarakhand and they should also take care of their health. Pregnant women should especially pay more attention to their diet and exercise. Newborn babies should be breastfeed preferably and older children should restrain themselves from eating fast food and should be encouraged to eat only home-cooked food, she added.
