Enjoying Holidays in Space is now possible: Dr. Ugur Guven

Dr. Ugur Guven, Advisory Council Member of the United Nations-Space Science and Technology Center for Asia and the Pacific, said that the future of space tourism is bright and successful. Humans will now be able to experience holidays, space hotels, space sports and other interesting and thrilling experiences in space.
Dr. Ugur Guven was addressing a seminar on the topic “Chandrayaan-3 & Beyond” at Graphic Era Deemed university here today.
He said that after the success of ‘Chandrayaan-3’ project to land on moon, the doors of limitless possibilities spread across the space have opened. Through space mining, it will be helpful in finding Earth’s rare metals such as Platinum, Rubidium and an important energy resource, Helium 3 on the Moon. As a result, renewable energy, economy and energy production will gain momentum in the coming future, he added.
Former Group Director of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Dr. A. C. Mathur shared information related to space and ISRO through slides. He said that since the inception of ISRO in 1969, the country has achieved tremendous success in the field of aerospace. He also highlighted the importance of bringing awareness about it amongst the youth.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Ugur Guven, Dr. A. C. Mathur and Graphic Era Hill University’s Vice Chancellor Dr. Sanjay Jasola. The seminar was organised by Graphic Era Deemed University’s Department of Aerospace Engineering. Dr. Sudhir Joshi , head of the department along with Dr. Ritvik Dobriyal, Dr. Pushpendra Kumar and Punit Gupta were present in the seminar.
