The local villagers of Vyans valley, witnessed such colourful training camp of BJP for the first time after the Vyans valley got national exposure in the form of road connectivity and ‘Adi Kailash yatra’ following visit of Prime Minister Modi in 2023. The party is trying to consolidate it’s position in the border region that had remained a stronghold of Congress party since independence, and is gradually yurning towards to BJP due to good developmental work done by union and state governments of the party,” said Shalu Datal, a local tribal leader and journalist based in Dharchula.

Datal said that despite the Dharchula assembly seats which is with Congress party consecutively from last three elections, BJP is trying hard to spread it’s influence in the area. “The success of ‘Adi Kailash yatra’ in providing local livelihood and making it easy for BJP,” said Shalu Datal.
