Dr. Sujata Sanjay, Gynecologist and Obstetrician, Sanjay Orthopaedic, Spine and Maternity Centre, Dehradun, during a recent visit to Bali, Indonesia met ‘Padma Shri’ Agus Indra Udayana.

‘Padma Shri’ Agus Indra Udayan, founder of Gandhi Ashram in Bali, Indonesia, is a distinguished social worker. In the year 2020, he has been awarded the ‘Padma Shri’ by the Government of India for his outstanding social contribution, especially for spreading Gandhian values. Everyone at the Gandhi Ashram in Bali, Indonesia follows the Gandhian principles of non-violence, humanity and truth. Padma Shri Indra Udayana, during a conversation with Dr. Sujata Sanjay, said that even today Gandhiji’s thoughts and principles are relevant not only for us and your country but for the entire world. Gandhiji’s principle of non-violence is beneficial for the entire humanity.

She informed him  about her woman related health books “Mahila Darpan” and “Arogya Nari Ek Parikalpana” which she also presented to him. While discussing about women’s health, he told them that the problems of women are the same all over the world. “Women should be more and more conscious about their health because women are the first teachers of their children and If women are healthy then their families will be healthy and the entire society will be healthy,” he said.
