Dr. Kamal Ghanshala, Chairman of Graphic Era Group of Institutions has said that newer technologies from around the global, super speciality services, artificial intelligence and data science have placed the standard of treatment of patients at Graphic Era Hospital at higher pedestal in a very short span of time.
After Graphic Era Hospital has been accredited as a Medical College with 150 seats of MBBS, Chairman Dr. Kamal Ghanshala interacting with media persons, here today said that in its first inspection National Medical Commission has found Graphic Era Hospital (Graphic Era Group of Institutions) qualified for all the required standards, and approved it for the MBBS course for the year 2024-25.
He announced that a new chapter has opened in the treatment of complex diseases and rare operations to save human lives due to new technologies from across the globe and experienced specialists at the Graphic Era Hospital. He further claimed that hose operations are also being done in the hospital which were never attempted in Uttarakhand before.” The people of Uttarakhand and nearby states are getting benefits of Ultra modern cath lab, three Tesla MRI, 128 slice CT scan and other newest Technology,” he said.
Dr. Ghanshala said that equipped with state of art infrastructure and advanced equipments along with highly experienced specialists, Graphic Era Hospital has bridged the gap between professionalism and affinity. He said that in the past four years, the university has secured place among top 100 universities of the country. Graphic Era Deemed University was ranked 55th in the country by Central Government in the year 2023. Graphic Era Institute of Medical Sciences is also on it’s way to achieve new heights as a part of the Graphic Era group of Institutions. Due to Centre’s direct control over Deemed University, the allocation of MBBS seats in Graphic Era Hospital will be done through Central counselling by Central Government’s Medical Councelling Committee.
He said that Graphic Era Hospital will be connected through air ambulance so that people residing in inaccessible rural areas can also get emergency health services. For this purpose a helipad will also be built in the hospital campus. A hospital with 200 beds will also be established in Bhimtal to provide Ayush health services.
Chairman Dr. Kamal Ghanshala and Vice Chairperson Rakhi Ghanshala were welcomed with a huge shower of flowers by the doctors, officials and faculty members on reaching the hospital today. Chairman and Vice Chairperson also cut a huge cake on the occasion. Dr. Ghanshala focused on including emotions and human feelings in healthcare services while addressing the seminar of Medical College faculty members and doctors of Hospital.
Interestingly, specialists of Graphic Era Hospital saved the life of an infant girl with the use of new technology, who was said to be beyond the hope of recovery. This two months old girl came to the hospital suffering from brain hemorrhage.
Director of Graphic Era Hospital Dr. Punit Tyagi during press conference said that a small girl child of two months was so ill that the doctors in Delhi sent her back expressing their helplessness in saving the child. Even after getting hopeless, the parents brought their child to Graphic Era Hospital where the specialists saved the life of the child. Dr. Tyagi said that similarly, a newborn baby whose weight during its birth was 900 gm was safely rescued by the specialists.
Director Dr. Tayagi said that putting pace maker in small children, treatment of heart hole, changing valve with new technology, opening obstruct alimentary canal of more than 25 patients with Japanese technology POEM, treating cancer of alimentary canal without cut and other treatments have connected Graphic Era Hospital with people’s trust. The hospital treated 40 children who suffered from heart hole and damaged valve under the National Child Protection Scheme. Bypass surgeries and various other such complex operations are being performed successfully in the hospital for which people earlier, had to travel to Delhi or other parts of the country. Recently, a resident 60 years old resident of Dehradun was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer and was treated with Thoracoscopic Technology without any cut. The team of specialists who carried out this complex healthcare services with such ease included Graphic Era Hospital’s Dr. Sachin Arora, Dr. Dayashankar Rajagopalan and Dr. Kuldeep Singh Yadav.
