Uttarakhand Congress party has attacked the ruling Bharatiya Janta Party on the issue of construction of a Kedarnath temple at Delhi by a private trust. Uttarakhabnd Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had laid foundation of a Kedarnath temple in Delhi on July 12 this year, a replica of Kedarnath temple, revered as one of the 12 ‘Jyotirlingas’ of ‘Sanatan’ tradition of Hindus, being constructed by a trust known as, Shri Kedarnath Dham Delhi.

“It is totally anti Sanatan to shift  Dhan temple from their original places where they were originated thousands years ago and are revered by Sanatani Hindus as original places of Hindu gods,” said Mathura Datt Joshi, Uttarakhand Congress vice president.

“it is a deliberate attempt to dishonour ‘Sanatan’ tradition  by BJP and would be opposed by the people of the state. It is a surety that Lord Kedarnath will punish anti- religious act of BJP in Kedarnath as it was punished by Lord Rama in Ayodhya and Lord Badrinath in Uttarakhand during Lok sabh and assembly bye-elections respectively,” said Joshi

Meanwhile, Kedar Sabha members, including local temple priests and Chardham mahapanchayat members met at Ukhimath in Rudraprayag district and expressed resentment at construction of replica of Kedarnath at Delhi.”The kedar sabha members have decided to further opposition of the move of construction of a replica of kedarnath at Delhi,” said Anil Kumar Shukla, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Ukbimath in Rudraprayag district.

Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said to BJP workers that they should expose those who are spreading wrong information’s on the Kedarnath temple replica “The symbolic temples of any deity may exist at any place but ‘Dham’ and ‘Jyotirlingas’ can exist only at one place,” said Dhami, while addressing BJP workers in Dehradun.
