Graphic Era’s students Won the IISC, Bengaluru’s ‘OpenHack-25’

The students of Graphic Era Deemed University won laurels in the technical competition of IISC, Bengaluru’s OpenHack-25 by developing a chatbot that reacts by analysing brain waves; The Graphic Era’s students secured first position in this pan India competition.
Thousands of students from various universities across the country participated in this national-level ‘Hackathon’. In the preliminary round, the teams with the best ideas, technical skills, and presentations were selected for the next round, including Graphic Era’s team. In the final round of ‘OpenHack’, Graphic Era’s team developed a chatbot named ‘NeuroSri’. This AI-based chatbot utilizes Electro Encephalography (EEG) Technology to analyze a person’s brain waves and provides real-time assistance with the help of generative AI, providing a personalized mental health support. This technology can prove to be helpful for individuals struggling with issues such as stress, anxiety, and depression.
Graphic Era’s winning team was awarded a cash prize of fifty thousand rupees. The team members include Kajal Jha, Suyash Singh Bhadouria, Priyanshu Verma, and Saumya Mishra. All four are pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at Graphic Era Deemed University.
