Doctors & Developers Meet at Graphic Era University

Engineering students of Graphic Era will now develop mobile applications to address various challenges in the healthcare sector. The initiative formally began today through an interactive brainstorming session between medical experts and students trained in app development.

A special event, ‘Doctors & Developers Meet,’ was organized today at Graphic Era Deemed University. During the programme, expert doctors introduced aspiring app developers to the real  challenges of the medical field and the practical needs of patients and hospitals. The panel discussion featured Dr. Partha P. Bishnu from the Department of Neurosurgery, Dr. Sunil Kumar Mishra from the Department of Endocrinology, Dr. Raj Pratap Singh from the Department of Cardiology, Dr. Arun Joshi from the Department of Nephrology, Dr. Gopesh Gupta from the Department of Radiology, Dr. Shantanu Shubham from the Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Rahul Agrawal from the Department of Orthopedics, and Dr. Sachin Dev Munjal from the Department of Gastroenterology,  from Graphic Era Hospital.

The doctors emphasized that the need of the hour is smart digital solutions that can simplify appointments, patient follow ups, electronic medical records, and hospital management. They encouraged students to develop mobile applications for diabetes, kidney and heart disease management, newborn and premature baby care, vaccination tracking, and long-term patient monitoring.

Students of Graphic Era also showcased several iOS applications developed to address real healthcare challenges. Nirali Garg and her team presented AirWhisper, Harsh Mittal and his team showcased Consulto, Dhruv Chauhan presented TremorGym, Aakash and his team showcased FamCare, Saloni and her team presented Myra, while Abhinav and his team showcased Lucid.

The programme was organized by the iOS Development Centre of Graphic Era Deemed University in collaboration with Graphic Era Hospital and the Graphic Era Institute of Medical Sciences. Among those present were Head of the iOS Development Centre Dr. Sachin Ghai, GEU-GEIMS Joint Research Coordinator Dr. Gaurav Pant, Ashutosh Srivastava, iOS Development Centre facilitators Dr. Manish Sharma, Garima Sharma, Devyani Rawat, Ashish Kumar, along with students.
