Workshop on AI Standardization and Ethics at Graphic Era University

A workshop on “Standardization effort in “Artificial Intelligence at National and International level” was organized at Graphic Era Deemed University.
Addressing the event as the Chief Guest, Vice Chancellor Dr. Narpinder Singh said that AI will not replace humans but will open new paths for growth and development. He urged students to make full use of Graphic Era’s iOS Centre, which, he said, is equipped with NVIDIA-GPU technology and is currently working at the foundational level to provide students with a strong and advanced AI environment for skill development.
Director, BIS Dehradun, Saurabh Tiwari said that the role of AI is to assist humans. He explained that the basic concept of AI is to learn, think, and make decisions to produce outcomes. He also encouraged students to bring forward new ideas, as they are the future leaders of technology.
DDG (Standardization), BIS, Dr. Reena Garg said that BIS helps students understand standards and aspects related to universities. She emphasized that standardization at the national and international levels plays a vital role in ensuring consistency, accuracy, and clear communication across various sectors.
The workshop was jointly organized by the BIS CSE Student Chapter and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The event was attended by Head of iOS Centre, Dr. Sachin Ghai, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Dr. Devesh Pratap Singh, along with faculty members and a large number of students.
