12-Year-Old Ashna Naqi of Kashipur becomes youngest and fifth published author of her family
Kashipur, May 26
Ashna Naqi, a 12-year-old resident of Kashipur, Uttarakhand, and an 8th-grade student at Army Public School, Hempur, has become a published author. She is the fifth—and the youngest—published author in her family. Her collection of stories, titled “Young Minds, Great Lessons,” has been published by Bri Books, an internationally renowned publisher of children’s literature.
Ashna Naqi follows in the footsteps of several family members who have previously published books: her father, Dr. Naqi Uddin (on Commerce); her elder uncle, Nadeem Uddin (Advocate), who has authored 45 books on public awareness, legal awareness, and literature; her uncle, Dr. Zia Uddin (on Engineering Mathematics); and her elder sister, Neelima Nadeem (Advocate), who has published books on legal awareness.
Written and designed by Ashna Naqi herself, this book was produced under a special program initiated to empower students as young authors. This program—conducted under the leadership of Principal Dr. Malini Sharma and inspired by the school’s Chairman, Brigadier Sukhbir Singh—was executed in collaboration with the internationally acclaimed publisher, Bri Books. The program’s coordinator is the school’s English Lecturer, Atul Yadav. The book features a collection of 10 inspirational stories for children and is currently available for purchase on the Bree Books website.
On the occasion of this remarkable achievement, Ashna Naqi has received congratulations and best wishes for a bright future from the school’s Chairman (Brigadier Sukhbir Singh), Principal (Dr. Malini Sharma), program coordinator (Atul Yadav), as well as other teachers, staff members, students, various legal professionals, and journalists.
