Union Minister of State for home affairs visit Indo-Nepal border

Nitya Nand Rai, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, today visited Indo-Nepal border in Dharchula sub- division of the district and inspected security arrangements by Sahastra Seema Bal (SSB), the force assigned Indo- Nepal border security.
“On reaching at Dharchula helipad at 11.30 AM, the minister was received by Manu Maharaj, IG,ITBP and Amit Kumar IG, SSB, and district level officer including District Magistrate Ashish Bhatgai and police officials. The minister inspected border bridge on Indo- Nepal border Dharchula and later was briefed on the security arrangements at Indo- Nepal border by Border Interaction Team (BIT),.”said Ashish Bhatgai, District Magistrate, Pithoragarh.
Later, the minister interacted with SSB jawans deputed at Indo- Nepal border along Dharchula area and praised the personnels for their commitment patriotism and capacity to work under adverse situation in interior parts on Indo-Nepal border.
The minister returned at 12.45 noon after planting a sandalwood plant at Dharchula base of SSB in the memory of the visit.
