Training on Advanced Neurovascular Techniques at Graphic Era Medical College
Dehradun, June 14: Graphic Era Medical College organized a training program on advanced techniques for the treatment of stroke and cerebrovascular diseases. Experts from across the country shared insights into the latest research and innovations in the field of neurovascular science.
A two day Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on recent advances in neurovascular science was held at Graphic Era Medical College. More than 140 specialists and doctors from across India participated in the event. Discussions focused on the latest innovations in stroke management and neurovascular care. Experts highlighted the role of thrombolysis and modern procedures such as mechanical thrombectomy in improving stroke outcomes. The Department of Radiology emphasized the importance of timely and accurate diagnosis through advanced CT scan and MRI technologies. Dr. Payoj Pandey from the Department of Neurosurgery shared insights into major recent developments in neurointervention and its growing potential in the years ahead.
On the second day, a hands on workshop provided participants with practical training in modern stroke treatment techniques. Using advanced simulation models, experts demonstrated procedures, shared their experiences, and familiarized attendees with the finer aspects of the latest technologies.
The CME was organized by the Department of Neurosciences at Graphic Era Medical College. The event was attended by Medical Director Dr. Puneet Tyagi, Dean Dr. Archana Thakur, President of IMA Dehradun and Senior Neurosurgeon Dr. Mahesh Kudiyal, Senior Neurosurgeon Dr. A.K. Singh, Head of the Department of Neurosurgery Dr. Parth Bishnu, Dr. Daljit Singh from Max Saket, New Delhi, Dr. Rajnish Kachhara from Medanta Hospital, Indore, Dr. Nishant Goyal, Dr. Somnath Jena, and Dr. Moinul Haque from AIIMS Rishikesh.
