Deepak Dhapola to become first fast bowler from Uttarakhand to play for Central zone in Duleep Trophy

The emerging cricketer of Uttarakhand Ranji trophy cricket team’s main fast bowler Deepak Dhapola who belongs to Bagehswar district of the state will now show his bowling skills in the Duleep Trophy. He has been selected in the Central Zone team for the year 2022-23 season. He will be the first cricketer from Uttarakhand Ranji team to play Duleep Trophy. Bageshwar Cricket Association and sports fans have expressed happiness over his achievement.
Deepak Dhapola, originally from Bageshwar, has been performing brilliantly since the inception of the Uttarakhand Ranji team. Deepak made headlines for his performance in the first Ranji season 2018 for Uttarakhand cricket team. He was amongst the highest wicket takers by taking 45 wickets in the year 2018-2019 season playing only eight matches. However, he could not play the next season due to an injury.
In the Ranji season of the year 2021-2022, Deepak again showed his worth by taking 12 wickets in four matches. Deepak has also played eight ODIs for Uttarakhand and has 14 wickets to his name in ODIs. He is very excited to be selected in the Central zone team for Duleep Trophy. Cricket Association of Bageshwar President Suresh Sonial informed that Duleep Trophy matches will be held from September 8 to 25. Association Vice President Ram Chandra Pandey, Secretary Ramesh Danu, Deputy Secretary Pradeep Gadiya, Harish Rawal, Dr. Rajendra Parihar have expressed happiness on the selection of Deepak Dhapola for the Duleep Trophy competition.
